Founded by the monk Marük in the northern Hardazi lands over 7500 years ago, the Dáru religion is considered a heretical cult in most lands. Scrolls that Marük brought down from the Mountains of Kthah claim that the being called Dar killed his demon sister Hazarvahn and created Dárdünah partly out of her body. Dar is the one true god and the Great Father and Mother and the Devah are merely evil interlopers.
The Dáru religion is a violent and brutal one. In order to become an acolyte, one must undergo a torturous journey under the Mountains of Kthah and then participate in a blood ritual. Dar demands blood sacrifices and his warriors are constantly tested to ensure that they are the strongest and most aggressive in the world.
